Police find driver of kidnapped FCI official

Guwahati, Apr 23 (UNI) Police found the driver who was kidnapped along with the FCI executive director by the banned ULFA rebels from the city on Tuesday.

Police said late last night that driver Rabi Basumatary was found in the city and was immediately led to an undisclosed location by the security agency.

However, they suspected the ULFA ultras might have crossed over to neighbouring Bhutan taking another captive Phul Chand Ram, the executive director of FCI.

Police had recovered the vehicle of the FCI official from Rangiya, about 35 km from here, on Wednesday.
