Uttam Galva to set up mn JV with UK co

New Delhi, Apr 22: Uttam Galva Steels Ltd (UGSL), manufacturer and exporter of galvanised steel, has entered into a joint venture with UK-based Liberty Commodities to build a 20 million dollar-steel re-roller mill in Ghana.

The company is exploring both organic and inorganic routes to grow and enhance value for the stakeholders, this JV being a part of its expansion plan, UGSL Director (Commercial) Ankit Miglani said.

The new facility is expected to be operational by the end of this year. There will also be major capacity expansion and modernisation on the domestic front.

Uttam Galva is a major supplier to companies like Bajaj Auto, Mahindra Mahindra, Kirloskar and Larsen&Toubro.
