Person found unconscious, foul play suspected

Akola, Maharashtra, Apr 22 (UNI) Mild tension prevailed in the city after a person was found in an unconscious state near Shivaji Park here.

The person has been admitted in the general hospital here yesterday and his condition is stated to be stable.

Jamir Khan had an altercation with four youth late on Friday evening and was allegedly assaulted by the quartet. He was found in an unconscious state yesterday morning.

Suspecting foul play, city corporators Qazi Nizamuddin and Rafiq Siddiki met district superintendent of police Shantaram Waghmare and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Four persons have been detained for interrogation in this connection, police said.
