Kareena, Celina to hit campaign trail in Varanasi

Varanasi, Apr 22 (UNI) Bollywood will add colour to the dust and heat raised by campaigning in this temple town with movie stars Kareena Kapoor and Celina Jaitley all set to ''charm voters'' in favour of the Congress candidate.

While Miss India Universe 2005 Celina will be here tomorrow, Kareena is likely to reach the city in support of Congress candidate from Varanasi (North) seat Mohammed Sheikh Shamim on April 26, sources close to the party candidate told UNI today.

Celina along with senior Congress leader Rajiv Shukla will embark on a roadshow in the Varanasi (North) assembly segments, especially the Muslim-dominated localities.

Earlier, Kareena was slated to embark on a roadshow in support of Mr Shamim on April 21 last, could not do so due to some film commitments. She is likely to hit the campaign trail on April 26.

Meanwhile, a National Students Union India (NSUI) executive member from Haryana Sandip Singh said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will also embark on his roadshow for the constituencies going to polls in the sixth-phase on May 3 from Varanasi.

The party star campaigner is likely to start off the crowd-pulling roadshows from Varanasi on April 28 or 29 and will tour various parts of East UP extensively.
