Hot day condition prevail in Rajasthan, UP, Haryana

Pune, Apr 22 (UNI) Hot day conditions prevailed in some parts of Rajasthan and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and east Madhya Pradesh.

Day tempratures were markedly above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in some parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, coastal Karnatak and Kerala. It was normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch and of coastal Tamil Nadu.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, north Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and of Chattisgarh and were below normal in some parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and of Marathwada.They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar islands and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh. Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in south interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Jharkhand and at a few places in Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalseema.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.
