Four-day education mela to be held in Rajkot

Rajkot, Apr 22 (UNI) A national-level four-day Education and Career Mela will be held here from May 11.

The event has been jointly organised by Vasundhara Trust and Centre for Bharatiya Marketing Development (CBMD), with the aim to generate interest among students to develop their career and to select the right field in education.

Convenor of Career and Education Mela and Rajkot MP Dr Vallabhbhai Kathiria today said that the mela is being held to give detailed information to students for their future prospects as most of the students and parents are unaware of the various educational courses and have limited knowledge about such syllabuses.

Dr Kathiria said educational experts would be invited to attend this Mela and their interaction with the students would be arranged.

Former Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Members of IIT, NCERT and other various faculties will be invited to the Mela and they would express their views, Dr Kathiria said.

Nearly 200 academic and career guidance stalls would be erected at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Maidan where the mela will be held, Dr Kathiria informed.
