Cruel stroke of fate! man escapes fire but still loses life

Puducherry, Apr 22 (UNI) For G Krishna, who died in a road accident after narrowly escaping a fire mishap, there was no escape from malevolent fate.

Krishna had been hospitalised after sustaining burns in the fire accident in Franswa thoppe here which left two people dead and gutted over 300 huts two days ago.

He, however, got himself discharged from the Government General Hospital here as he wanted to assess the extent of damage to his property in the fire accident and hired a bicycle to reach the place.

While on way, a car hit his cycle and sped away.

A critically injured Krishna was again hospitalised and died last night.
