CRPF pays ex gratia to families of 2 J
Srinagar, Apr 21 (UNI) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today made an ex gratia payment of Rs 6 lakh each to next of kin of two constables of Jammu and Kashmir police who were killed in action.
According to reports, state police constables Bilal Ahmad and Irshad Ahmad Khan were killed during a joint operation launched against militants by the CRPF and police on April 27, 2005.
CRPF Deputy Inspector General (Operations) M P Nathaneal handed over the cheques to the family members of the constables at a function organised here.
Mr Nathaneal said the relief was sanctioned in recognition of their dedication and commitment to duty.
