One killed, Shobha Group chairman's kin injured in collision

Thrissur, Apr 20 (UNI) The driver of a car was killed and four others, including the son-in-law of Shobha Developers Chairman P N C Menon, were injured when their car collided with a private bus at Manappady in Peramangalam near here today, The decased was identified as Surendran (42), hailing from Peramangalam.

The injured were admitted to the Amala Hospital here. They included Shobha Developers Group Chairman P N C Menon's first daughter Bindu's husband Ajai Rajendran (32) and his father Babu Rajendran (62). Their condition was stated to be serious, hospital sources said.

The occupants of the car were returning from Guruvayur after visiting the Lord Krishna temple while the bus was on its way to Kunnamkulam from Thrissur when the mishap occurred.

The car was completely damaged due to the impact of the collision.
