Mediapersons jump enclosure to snap Abhiash weddding pictures
Mumbai, Apr 20 (UNI) High drama unfolded outside Amitabh Bachchan's 'Prateeksha' bungalow today after the volvo buses, carrying the 'baraatis', arrived and parked outside the gate, obstructing the media's view of the venue for Abhishek and Aishwarya's headlines-grabbing wedding.
There was utter chaos as mediapersons, especially photographers of print media and cameramen of TV channels, jumped the enclosure to snap picutres of Abhishek dancing to the tunes of music from his movie 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' that were being played by the band of musicians.
Among the 'Baraatis' were Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda, Karan Johar, Kirron Kher, Sikander Kher, Devika Bhojwani, Nasreen Munni-Kabir, an author, Rohan Gavaskar, Industrialist Gautam Singhania and designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
The seven buses blocked the view between the press enclosure and the gate, resulting in utter chaos.
Ealier, Shammi Kapoor and his wife Neela Devi, his daughter Kanchan Desai and her film-maker husband Ketan Desai were the first to arrive even before the ''baraatis'.
'Prateeksha' was tastefully decorated with marigold flowers with banana leaves adorning the gates of the bungalow.
UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav came after the 'baraatis' arrived.
Look-alikes of Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan were spotted outside the bungalow and caught the eyes of photographers.
Two truck-loads of food were brought from Taj Mahal Hotel for the wedding party.
Trusted aides of Amitabh Bachchan, Rosy Singh and Sheetal Jain were seen co-ordinating the security and other arrangements.
Mediapersons, covering the wedding from the press enclosure, were provided snacks and cold drinks by Amitabh's friends.
Aishwarya Rai's neighbour at her Bandra building Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia have also arrived at the venue.
