DU to follow old norms if no SC verdict on reservation
New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Delhi University will follow the last year's admission policy for the coming academic session if the Supreme Court does not pronounce its final judgement for extending reservation for OBCs in centrally-run institutes.
DU Vice Chancellor Deepak Pental told UNI, on the sidelines of a function here, that the Union HRD Ministry had sent a letter, saying that last year's admission policy will apply this year in the case of SC not delivering its verdict on the reservation issue by the time of addmissions.
The Supreme Court will decide on April 23 whether the Centre's plea seeking vacation of the apex court's stay of quotas for OBC students in centrally funded higher educational institutions .
Admissions to diffrent courses in DU commences in the month of June while the first cut of list comes out generally by middle of the month.
