JK: Militants struck at 3 places, 1 dead, 2 injured

Srinagar, Apr 19: Militants struck at three places in apple township of Sopore, in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, killing one person and injuring two others.

Official sources said militants gate crashed into the house of one Sajad Ahmad Dar at Dangerpora, Sopore, about 55 km from here late last night and fired upon him.

He succumbed before he could be shifted to hospital.

Militants later managed to escape under the cover of darkness before security forces could reach there.

They said militants shot at and critically wounded one Nazir Ahmad Pir at Bulgam while one Shahnawaz Khan was injured in militant firing at Chandipora Sopore.

The injured have been hospitalised, he said.
