BJP plans 'aggressive' campaigning for remaining UP polls
Lucknow, Apr 19 (UNI) Non-BJP chief mininsters Nitish Kumar (Bihar), Naveen Patnaik (Orissa) and Prakash Singh Badal (Punjab) will join hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders to address massive rallies as part of the 'changed' campaign style of the party for Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
With some of the exit polls coming in its favour, an upbeat Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP)has planned to change its campaign style for Uttar Pradesh assembly making it more aggressive and leaders oriented for the remaining four phases of polling.
BJP, the which could boast of having maximum star campaigners, has so far divided the leaders area-wise to take charge of the campaign of those particular areas. But now onwards the focus of the campaign would be on presenting various leaders on the same platform in some of the 'massive' rallies being planned by the party in different parts of UP.
The last four phases of UP assembly would witness all the party leaders and the allies leaders to join hand to campaign jointly for UP assembly poll. ''It can well be termed the 'carpet bombing' as far as the aggressive camapign design is concerned,'' a senior BJP functionery told UNI.
Beside, BJP national president Rajnath Singh , senior BJP leaders L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitely, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Narendra Modi and Kalyan Singh, the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik, Chattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh and Punjab chief minister Prakash Singh Badal would share the dias in some of really 'big' rallies.
These rallies are being proposed at places including the state capital of Lucknow going to polls in the fifth phase on April 28, May 3 and May 8 next. The fourth phase polls are due on April 23.
The efforts are afoot to bring the former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee to these rallies atleast in Lucknow rally if orgnaised. The health of the senior BJP leader is not allowing him to take on the campaign for UP polls but there is a strong possibility he woould camapign in Lucknow, his parliamentary constituency.
