Devotees of ISKCON allege irregularities in Akshaya Patra Scheme
Bangalore, Apr 18 (UNI) ISKCON Bangalore Devotee Association comprising leaders, members and devotees from the ISKCON Bangalore today Charged that the breakaway organisation had indulged in financial irregularities with regard to implementation of the Karnataka Government sponsored 'Akshaya Patra'scheme to provide mid-day meal to schoolchildren.
Addressing the media representatives, Association President Satya Gopinath Das and others attributed 'fraudulent' activities to the organisation head Madhu Pandit Das and said the devotees had nothing to do with it. Those who had suggested to restrict activities to the ISKCON movement were kicked out a few years ago, they recalled.

queries
they
termed
themselves
as
'victims'
and
'refugees'
of
the
temple
following
differences
and
were
serving
in
various
temples
across
the
country.
"We
the
original
devotees
of
ISKCON
Bangalore
are
not
in
any
way
involved
with
any
real
estate
and
property
development
projects
and
in
fact
we
have
opposed
these
when
he
started
them
in
the
90s," they
clarified
adding
that
it
was
unfortunate
that
they
were
being
clubbed
with
Madhu
Pandit
Das
for
all
his
"misdeeds."
