Kohima, Apr 18 (UNI) The Confederation of Phom, Sangtam, Lotha, Zeliangrong and the Rengma Students Union has resolved to launch their second phase of agitation in the form of a Poster Campaign, demanding the total implementation of the Delimitation Act, 2002.

This resolution was taken up in a meeting held here at Dimapur yesterday.

In a statement issued by the Confederation here today, Secretary Longlang Luckpan and Joint Secretary Lipichum Sangtam said the meeting also resolved to demand the immediate withdrawal of the draft proposals for delimitation submitted by the Longleng, Kiphire, Peren districts and Tseminyu sub-division under Kohima district just as the Lotha Students' Union had compelled the Wokha district administration to withdraw the draft proposal submitted to the state.

He said the Confederation would not allow the concerned district administration to submit any proposal whatsoever, without the knowledge and consent of the Tribal Hohos leaders and the students unions.

They also cautioned that officer or officers would be doing so at their own risk.

The meeting also deliberated on the decision of the state to the affidavit against the census report of 2001 and observed that the census of 2001 was deliberately used by the State Government all through the preceding years as the basis in all Government programmes, including demands and grants from the Centre.

The meeting unanimously felt that repeated insistence of the state government in rejecting the census of 2001 was nothing short of a 'double standard game and ploy' to mislead the common people.

Meanwhile, Tribal Hoho leaders from Wokha, Peren, Longleng and Kiphire districts and Tseminyu sub-division of Kohima district and Chakro Angamis of Dimapur district called on Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio here yesterday and submitted a representation to him with a request for total implementation of the Delimitation Act in letter and spirit for equality and justice to all Naga tribes, a release issued here today by the leaders said.
