Agitation in Manipur demanding release of abducted officials
Imphal, Apr 18 (UNI) Protests were held in different parts of the state today to demand the safe release of four officials of a Manipur government public undertaking, who were reportedly abducted by unknown people on April 6.
Four officials, Th Saratkumar, Th Santosh Luwang, K Bijoykumar and L Dorendra of Manitron were kidnapped and their whereabouts were still unknown, police said.
Meanwhile, large number of social and government bodies have appealed to those responsible for the kidnapping to release the four officials on humanitarian ground.
A Special Task Force, headed by a Manipur DIP were enquiring into the kidnapping and the killing of two boys at Senapati district in March last, officials said.
