People desperate to get rid of NDA government : RJD

Patna, Apr 17 (UNI) Former Bihar Minister Shyam Rajak today alleged that people were frustrated with the poor performance of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government.

In a release here, Mr Rajak lambasted the state government for its ''failure'' to check rising crime in the state and alleged that kidnappings continued to play havoc in the society.

Recent kidnappings in several parts of the state bear ample testimony to the fact that life and property of the people were not safe under the present regime, he added.

He said the Centre had allocated sufficient fund for execution of various welfare and development schemes in the state, but the NDA government had ''failed'' to utilise it properly.

Despite assistance from the Centre to accelerate the pace of development in the state, Mr Kumar continued to accuse the UPA government of adpoting ''indifferent'' attitude towards Bihar, he lamented.

Mr Rajak said the Centre had cleared a proposal to establish Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) in Bihar, but the state government could not provide land for the purpose.

Some Kendriya Vidyalayas, which were earlier allotted to Bihar, had to be shifted to other states due to ''non-cooperation'' of the NDA government, he added.
