Heat wave condition prevail in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana

Pune, Apr 17 (UNI) Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in northwest Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Gujarat region.

Heat wave conditions also prevailed in remaining parts of Rajasthan. Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya.

It was appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, west Madhya Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat and were above normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, south Chattisgarh, Telangana and in remaining parts of Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Anaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and at a few places in coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Nalgaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.
