HC asks Bihar Govt to pay Rs 20 lakh to a dismissed employee HC

Patna, Apr 17 (UNI) The Patna High Court today directed the Bihar Government to pay a compensation of Rs 20 lakh to a former employee, who was dismissed on petty charges.

Hearing a writ petition of Sachidanand Lal, a single bench of justice Barin Ghosh also directed the government to pay all his dues 15 days.

Counsel of the petitioner submitted before the court that Mr Lal had turned lunatic due to callous attitude of the government.

Mr Lal had alleged that he was dismissed from the services in 1990 on petty charges while he was posted as head clerk at Katra block of Muzaffarpur district.
