Ford India posts 45 pc rise in FY07 sales
Dehra Dun, Apr 17: Ford India posted a 45 per cent growth in sales during 2006-2007 with 41,797 units as compared to 28,840 units during fiscal 2005-06, company Vice President (Marketing, Sales and Service) Scott McCormack said.
During March alone, the company witnessed its second best month sales at 5,382 units, an increase of close to 40 per cent, Mr McCormack told reporters here today.
He was addressing the media on the felicitation ceremony of India's first ''Quality Care Lite'' programme in Bhagat Ford Dehra Dun premises.
He handed over the accreditation certificate to Mr Raj Naresh Singh, Dealer Principal of Bhagat Ford, making it the first dealership to receive the accreditation in Ford Asia Pacific and Africa.
Quality Care Lite is a new initiative, specially designed for dealerships in Tier II and Tier III markets to render more productive and efficient services.
''Ford has now 38 outlets which are accredited as quality care outlets and cover 85 per cent of its car park,'' he added.
Mr McComarck apprised that Quality Care combines world class standards of quality service systems to provide pleasurable, convinient and comfortable automobile servicing experience to customers by evaluating all aspects of after-sales service such as customer appointment, quality, delivery of repaired vehicle, time management and spare part availability.
''It is an effective tool to ensure supreme customer satisfaction,'' he stressed.
