Child kidnapped from Ludhiana school rescued in Delhi, one arrested

New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) The Delhi Police have rescued from here a child wwho was kidnapped for ransom by two persons from his school in Ludhiana in Punjab and have arrested one person in this connection.

25-year-old Fulana was arrested yesterday by the Delhi police while he was taking the kidnapped child, son of a labour contractor in Ludhiana, to Bihar by the Saryu Yamuna Express running between Amritsar and Darbhanga.

Fulana, along with a close relative of the child Ranjan, had kidnapped the child from the A V M high school in Ludhiana, where he had gone a week ago to earn his livelihood.

Fulana said he had hatched the plan to kidnap the child along with Malik Pandit, the uncle of the child. Yesterday, both of them went to the school posing as his relatives. Then, on the advise of Pandit, Fulana left for Chhapra along with the child by the train.

However, when the train reached Delhi, the Police apprehended him with the kidnapped child.
