New Delhi, April 17 (UNI) In contravention to the Delhi High Court order, the management of the Chhattarpur temple has included 30 of its members in the governing body.

The High Court had directed the Delhi Government to institute a probe into the financial irregularities of Rs 1000 crore trust formed by Sant Baba Nagpalji, which manages the temple on spread over a 60-acre plot in South Delhi.

The Court had appointed Advocate H L Tikoo as amicus curiae, who submitted that the temple management had raised the number of governing body to 72 by including 30 of their own members.

They did not even consult him as directed by the High Court in its order in July 2004 for the inclusion of some prominent personalities in the governing body for the efficient management of the temple funds, said Mr Tikoo.

It is also alleged that a part of the land had been encroached by outsiders in connivance with some of the trustees.

The matter will come up for hearing tomorrow and the state government is expected to file its probe report.

The High Court had constituted in July 2004 the committee headed by Justice(Retd) K Ramamoorthy to look into alleged financial irregularities by its trustees in one of the famous temples in the capital.

Acting on a letter to the High Court, a division bench of the High Court had appointed the committee to look into the affairs of the temple and gave him the power to appoint a chartered accountant to examine its financial statements.
