Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund announces launch of S

Panaji, Apr 17 (UNI) Taking advantage of the availability of small and midcap stocks at substantial discount compared to the large cap companies, the Birla Sun Life mutual fund group today announced the launch of its long term Advantage Fund-Series-1 in Goa.

The three-year close-ended fund which opened on April 9, will close on May 11 with no entry load charge to the investors.

The company would invest in small and mid cap companies with a potential of generating superior returns over the next three years and this is the opportune time, fund manager Jayesh Gandhi told media persons here today.

''Through active management of the fund, the company will seek to construct a portfolio of high growth stocks with an endeavour to outperform its BSE-500 benchmark index,'' he added.
