Villagers fuming at bad results, lock school in Haryana
Kurukshetra, Apr 16 (UNI) Fuming over the poor results of their wards, the villagers locked the government high school at Mathana about 9 kms from here on Kurukshetra-Yamunanagar road today.
While teachers and students were stranded outside, the school headmaster informed the District Educatiion Officer here and refrained from resisting the agitated villagers who were led by Pravin Mathana, a local BKU leader.
''We have locked the school to show our anger and pain at the sorry state of affairs in the school which has showed a very poor result this time'', Pravin Mathana said.
However, the SHO of Pipli, who rushed to the village on the instructions of the DEO, got the main gate of the school opened.
The officials of the education department had lodged a police complaint in this regard.
Police had taken Pravin Mathana into custody and have started investigating the case.
UNI
