Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) Sanwaria Agro Oil Ltd, one of India's leading soyabean processors and refined soyabean oil producers, has announced that its Profit After Tax (PAT) was up 344 per cent to Rs 16.03 crore from Rs 3.65 crore last financial year in its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

During the same period the sales increased by 101 per cent to Rs 444 crore from Rs 220 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007, a company release here said today.

''At the beginning of the FY07, we had given a guidance of a topline growth of Rs 400 crore and a bottomline of Rs 12 crore. We are happy to cross these comfortably and look forward to better growth this year,'' Anil Agrawal, Director, Sanwaria Agro Oil Ltd said.

Recently the group forayed into real estate development and is setting up a 5000 acre Land Bank under its group company Sanwaria Infrastructures Limited.

The group will look into the development of land, warehousing and logistics and setting up commercial office complexes and malls in its land bank. The foray into real estate marks the second stage of expansion for the group, which is already into the first phase of capex worth Rs 70 crore.

The Sanwaria Group has set up a state-of-the-art wind power generation facility, which has 'pitch regulated' technology, capable of generating three MW in the first phase. The wind power generated in phase one will be for captive use, while the amount generated in phase two will be sold, the release added.
