No threat to Koda, Ministers
Ranchi, Apr 16 (UNI) With speculation getting rife over the stability of the Madhu Koda-led UPA government in Jharkhand, two ministers today dismissed such reports, asserting that they would complete their remaining term in the office sans any hiccups.
Urban Development Minister Harinarayan Rai (Ind) held a press conference here to negate any such threat to the government, but at the same time expressed dissatisfaction over the inordinate delay in restructuring the boards.
Mr Rai also referred to recent publication of series of press reports regarding alleged amassing of properties by Ministers, particularly by the Independent legislators, saying they would soon meet the Chief Mininster with all documents to prove their innocence.
He urged the need of constituting the boards soon and added that the allies of the UPA would sort out all differences through discussions.
He denied having amassed any properties in Kolkata and Dumka as reported in the media, urging the press to verify facts before publication.
Science and Technology Minister Chandra Prakash Chowdhury ruled out any threat to the present UPA government, saying the attempt to destabilise it would not succeed.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Chowdhury also demanded that fresh boards be formed immediately as the Koda government had already spent six months in office.
He pleaded ignorance about the ''move'' to induct former Home Minister and AJSU legislator Sudesh Mahto in the UPA.
Meanwhile, RJD's Ramchandra Chandravanshi (MLA) asserted that the prsent government would complete its term, adding his party was fully with Mr Koda.
Regarding the Boards, he said party supremo Lalu Prasad would decide what their share would be in the newly-formed boards and committees.
