India-Belarus signs MoU for cooperation in the field of agricultur
New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) India and Belarus today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of agriculture for mutual benefits.
The Agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Belarus President Aleksandr lukashenko.
Minister of State for Agriculture Kanti Lal Bhuria signed the agrement on behalf of the agriculture Ministry and his counter part for Belarus.
Soon after signing of the agreeemnt Mr Bhuria said it would enable both the countries in the exchange of scientific and technical know-how and data.
Both the countries would jointly take up research and scientific work and in the event they will get some break through in the research work. The Intelectual Property Rights (IPR) would be shared between the two countries, he added.
Under the MoU, both the countries will organise seminars, meetings and fairs for more exchange of informations among the farmers.
He said the agreement will be in use for five years and could be extended for another five years.
