Baroda lawyers protest against Varanasi police action

Vadodara, Apr 16 (UNI) At least 1,500 lawyers demonstrated today in front of the city court, protesting recent lathicharge by police on lawyers at Allahabad, Lucknow and Varanasi.

Shouting slogans like 'stop policeatrocities on lawyers the agitating lawyers were led by the Baroda Bar Association president Narendra Tiwari.

Court proceedings were held up for some time, police said.
