Teenager drowns in Ganga

Varanasi, Apr 15 (UNI) A teenager today drowned in the Ganga river in Dashwashamedh area here.

Abishek (15), along with his four friends Jagdish, Khadag Bahadur, Kanhaiyya Lal and Sandip, had hired a boat from Dashwashamedh Ghat for bathing on the opposite bank of Ganga.

When the boat was about to reach the riverbank, Abhishek slipped in the river and drowned, police said.

Meanwhile, the body has been fished out.
