Six killed in jeep-bus collision

Bangalore, Apr 15 (UNI) Six people, including four women and a child, were killed and eleven others injured in a collision between their jeep and a private bus near Madhugere Gate at Channapatna on the Bangalore-Mysore Road today.

Police said the tragedy occurred when the jeep driver tried to avoid a dog on the road, resulting in a collision with the bus coming from the opposite direction.

The jeep was on its way to Mysore from the city.

The victims hailed from the city. The injured were hospitalised and the condition of three of them was said to be serious.
