Rains likely in Andaman

Pune, Apr 15 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Kerala and at a few places in Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, south Konkan and Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Chhattisgarh, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Kerala and at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Punjab and northwest Rajasthan. Heat wave conditions also prevailed in remaining parts of northeast Rajasthan and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Hot day conditions prevailed in Madhya Pradesh. Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Saurashtra and Kutch, north Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and of south interior Karnataka and were above normal in some parts of Uttarakhand, south Madhya Maharashtra, south Tamil Nadu and of coastal Karnataka.

They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand and Bihar and were below normal in some parts of Orissa, south Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and of Telangana. They were normal over the rest of the country.
