NRI doctor commits suicide in Noida
Noida, Apr 15 (UNI) An NRI doctor committed suicide here by consuming an excess dose of anaesthetic, police said.
Sixty-four-year-old Dhudhudun Ray, a London-based NRI who had returned to India a few months ago, was found dead at a house in Sector 12 of Noida this morning.
City SP Vijay Yadav said the NRI, who returned from London in January after a fight and separation from his British wife Jelian, took an overdose of anaesthetic at the residence of his brother-in-law Asim Chatterjee last night.
When Mr Ray did not wake up till late in the morning, his brother- in-law, who is a retd IAS officer, took him to Metro hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police say no suicide note was found. However, it was believed that the NRI was under depression due to the tiff with his British wife.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem and an investigation was on, police said.
