Barabanki, Apr 15 (UNI) Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today alleged a BJP-SP 'nexus' in the 'objectionable' CD episode.

''The CD which has reached every nook and corner of Uttar Pradesh, was distributed only after SP's consent,'' Ms Mayawati claimed while addressing an election gathering here.

Inveighing against Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, she alleged his government only worked for big industrialists and had nothing to do with the grievances of the common man.

''Mr Yadav and SP general secretary Amar Singh have amassed ill-gotten wealth by siphoning funds from the state exchequer and were planning to flee the country, she alleged.

After coming to power, I will expose the wrongdoings of Mr Yadav and he knows it well. Therefore, he is planning to leave India along with his friend Amar Singh. But I will never let that happen'' she maintained.

She reiterated that it was due to her belief in equity-based society that she gave adequate representation to all religions and communities while distributing tickets. ''BSP has given 93, 113, 61 and 136 tickets to SC, backwards, Muslims and upper caste Hindus respectively. Of the 136 tickets to upper castes, Brahmins and Rajputs account for 86 and 36 respectively,'' she said.
