K'taka officials to visit villages to redress grievances

Mysore, Apr 15 (UNI) After the overnight stays of Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in rural areas, it will now be the turn of the Mysore district administration officials to visit villages and redress the grievances of the public on the spot, from tomorrow.

Following the Chief Minister's instructions, the officials would begin their novel initiative from Halebeedu in Hunsur taluk of the district.

District incharge Minister G T Deve Gowda, who held a meeting with the officials here yesterday, had given them instructions on the programme.

The officials, headed by Hunsur taluk Tahsildar and Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer, would visit the village, stay there overnight, hear the grievances of the villagers and provide relief on the spot. Complicated issues would be noted down for sorting out and a deadline would be set for the same. The officers would be from revenue, agriculture, irrigation, social welfare, sericulture and other departments.
