Haryana's braveheart boy awarded Rs 51,000 by CM

Chandigarh, Apr 15 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda presented a cheque of Rs 51,000 to seven year old Ankit, a resident of Sanjay Colony, Faridabad for the exemplary courage shown by him.

Ankit was kidnapped from his house on April six by the tenants.

His parents informed the police about the incident but the kidnappers demanded Rs 10 lakh in lieu of the safe release of the boy.

As the kidnappers got the information that the police had been alerted, on April 7 they tied Ankit with ropes and left him between the railway lines near Mujesar railway crossing. He lost one of his hands when a train passed by.

Despite being in such a situation, Ankit managed to untangle himself and then raised a hue and cry. The people near Mujesar crossing immediately took the boy to the hospital and also informed the police.

Ankit has told the police about the identity of his kidnappers.
