Forest dwellers to get land deeds

Bhopal, Apr 15 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the procedure for distributing land deeds to forest dwellers, on the basis of their dwelling status until 2005, is being finalised.

Mr Chouhan, while addressing a meeting of state executive of the BJP SC Morcha, said the Morcha must ensure that eligible people get land deeds and no person misused it.

In a statement issued by the party, Mr Chouhan said the Morcha must make sure that no fraud takes place in this regard.

The Chief Minister said the BJP Government had made adequate provision in the budget allocation for the scheme so that tribals got benefitted.

State BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar said overall development of tribals could change the face of the country.

Alleging that the previous Congress Government had exploited tribals, he said the BJP Government was working for the welfare of tribals.

State BJP General Secretary Makhan Singh said problems in forest areas must be identified and a time frame be decided for ending their problems.

State BJP Morcha President Ramlal Rautel, former Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah and several tribal leaders and MLAs were present on the occasion.
