Dacoit kills two, injures four in an attack in Sangli District

Sangli, Maharashtra, Apr 15 (UNI) A man and his son were killed, while four others were seriuosly injured in an attack by dacoits in Kavathe-Mahankal Tehsil of the district, here today.

Police said that a dacoit gang of four to five persons entered into the Shegaonkar locality, around 0330 hrs and attacked on the sleeping family members, in which Yashin Kashim Mullani (45) and his son Javed (18) died on the spot, while four others were seriously wounded.

The two injured were rushed to the mission hospital Miraj, while two others have been hospitalised in Kavathe-Mahankal, police said.

The gang made away with a motor-cycle and other materials.

The details of stolen property is awaited, police said and added that no one has been arrested so far in this connection.
