CRPF Dy Commandant murdered at Jammu Airport

Jammu, Apr 15 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan shot dead his Deputy-Commandant at highly-guarded Jammu Airport, late night.

Giving details a senior police officer said, Nawal Singh Rawat Deputy-Commandant of 150 CRPF battalion, yesterday reprimanded the jawan, identified as Sukhant Singh.

At around 2200 hrs the constable went to the rooftop of the mess building and opened fire at the officer, who died on the spot, police said, adding that the former was later arrested.

The CRPF has been assigned the security of outer ring of highly-sensitive Jammu Airport, while the inner ring is being guarded by Anti-Hijacking wing of the Jammu and Kashmir police.
