Chevy Spark to hit Indian roads on Apr 17
New Delhi, Apr 15: General Motors (GM) Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rick Wagoner will launch its much-awaited small car 'Chevrolet Spark' on April 17.
The 'mini car' will compete with other small cars from Maruti to Hyundai which already have a huge market share.
Mr Wagoner, who will be here for a day, is expected to review the company's existing operations and future plans in India on Tuesday.
GM on December 22 last year launched its premium hatchback 'Chevrolet Aveo U-VA' and had set an annual sales target of two lakh units by 2010.
Chevrolet Aveo U-VA is priced between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) at present.
The company is also expected to introduce some of its premium offerings in the country, including the Cadillac and also plans to launch the 'Captiva' SUV in the near future.
