Chennai Cheetahs win e4e South India Rugby Cup

Bangalore, Apr 15 (UNI) Chennai Cheetahs won the inaugural e4e South India 10s Rubgy Cup by trouncing Bangalore Rugby Football Club (BRFC) 12-0 in the finals played here today.

Earlier, the two favourite teams struggled to get past their opponents in the semifinals. Chennai Cheetahs edged out CMP Bangalore 7-5, while BRFC won against Tamil Nadu Police-1 by toss of the coin, after the two teams were tied at 7-7 at the end of full time.

TN Police-1 went on to win the Plate, crushing CMP 12-0 in the losers' final.

The Bowl was won by Asetz Refugees who beat TN Police-2 10-O.

Emil Vartazarian of the Chennai Cheetahs won the e4e Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

The Cup was presented to the winning team by e4e India Operations President Vaibhav Tewari.
