Champion Agro World opens 8th Agro Retail Mall in Jetpur

Rajkot, Apr 15 (UNI) With the aim to provide support to farmers to solve their agro-related problems, Champion Agro World today opened its 8th Agro Retail Mall in Jetpur, 70 km from here.

Champion Agro World General Manager Charudutt Pathak told reporters that the company's retail scheme is based on the ideology to support farmers to solve their personal loan problems for purchasing agricultural equipments, land, tractors, new techniques and pesticides under one umbrella.

The company is not charging anything for the service, ''It is absolutely a free service to farmers,'' Mr Pathak said.

The company has already opened centres at Kotda Sangani, Lodhika, Kalawad, Tankara, Padadhari, Halvad and Upleta in Saurashtra region, Mr Pathak said adding that they have received tremendous response from the farmers of Saurashtra.

Magnetic Industries Limited, one of the leading companies in Saurashtra region, which is dealing with the growth and development of farmers of the region for over a decade and UTI bank, with whom the company has a tie-up, have chalked out expansion plans. Soon, it will open 400 such centres under the name of Champion Agro World in Gujarat within a timespan of three years, company Managing Director Dhirubhai Patel said.

This corporate banking partnership is one of the country's first mega schemes of chain of agro centres in the country. Moreover, this revolutionary concept will also help farmers to avail the crop insurance and personal insurance benefits, he claimed.
