CESC BoD to consider merger with RPG Retail on Apr 17

New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) CESC Ltd, a part of the family-controlled RPG Group, has said it is mulling to merge with RPG Retail Ltd, the owners of Spencer departmental stores and hypermarkets.

The board of the power utility will meet on April 17 to consider the merger with the holding company of Spencer's Retail Ltd.

The group aims to set up 2,000 stores by 2009 with a total shopping space of over 10 lakh sq ft. It now owns 125 stores across 25 cities.
