BSP supporters arrested for merry-making in public

Bahbhua, Apr 15 (UNI) Three Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) activists were arrested last night at Bhabhua for alleged creating trouble in the public with firearms, police said today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Harimohan Shukla said the BSP had organised a ''dance party'' at Shahdullahpur village under Ramgarh police station area to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. When the merry making with bar girls went beyond the prescribed time, the police raided the venue and arrested three activists for posing threats with firearms.

To protest the arrests, local MLA and leader of the party in the Bihar Assembly Ramchandra Singh Yadav staged a dharna at Ramgarh police station for two hours today demanding the release of the BSP supporters.
