M'shtra: Woman and her son drown in river

Kolhapur, Apr 15: A woman and her son drowned in Vedganga river near Bange village in Kagal tehsil of the district.

The deceased has been identified as Shakila Mahmmad Mujawar (32) and her son Mohsin (10) from Bange village, police said today.

Shakila, accompanied by her two children went to wash clothes at the river bank yesterday, when Mohsin playing nearby fell in the river and Shakila, while trying to save her son was drowned, police added.
