4 drown in Kolhapur district

Kolhapur, Apr 15 (UNI) Four people of drowed in the last 24 hours in Kagal tehsil of the district, police said today.

Two school boys - Jaiwant Shivaji Gurav (10) and Bhimshen Rajendra Kulkarni (12) - drowned in a water tank at Sake village in the tehsil where they had gone for a swim.

In another incident, a woman identified as Shakila Mahmmad Mujawar (32) and her son Mohsin (10) hailing from Bange village drown in Vedganga river where she had gone to wash clothes along with her two sons. When one of her son's fell into the river while playing, she jumped in to save him but she too died, sources added.
