Sugar prices ease on sluggish demand by stockists
Mumbai, Apr 14 (UNI) Sugar prices eased today on sluggish demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.
Sugar in small and medium grade fell by Rs five and Rs 20 per quintal respectively on poor demand.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades also made cheaper by Rs 10 per quintal each due to lack of frersh demand.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,400/1,455, Medium grade: Rs 1,415/1,500, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,370/1,395, Medium grade: Rs 1,400/1,455.
