One student killed, another seriously injured in accident

Kancheepuram, Apr 14 (UNI) A student was killed and another student seriously injured, when the motorcycle, on which they were travelling, met with an accident on ECR road near Kellambakkam here today.

Police said the students, Jitumani Dheka (22) and Indrajit Paralli (24), both from Guwahati in Assam and studying at MGR Engineering College at Madhuravayal here, were on their way to Mamallapuram when the accident occurred.

Eye witnesses said the bike lost control, throwing the duo on the road.

Jitumani Dheka (22) was killed on the spot and the seriously injured Indrajit Paralli had been admitted to the government hospital here, police added.
