Lakhmipur Kheri/Sitapur, UP, Apr 14 (UNI) Exuding confidence that her party would sweep the assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, BSP chief Mayawati today dismissed as ''wrong predictions'' the exit poll results for the first two phases of elections.

''People will know the real results on May 11 when the results are out and the BSP sweeps the assembly polls,'' she said, adding the surveys were aimed at ''confusing'' the voters.

Addressing two election meetings at Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur towns, Ms Mayawati said both the BJP and the Congress were using ''unethical'' measures to woo the voters.

''While the BJP is targeting the majority community by circulating communal CDs, the Congress is issuing fatwas to garner Muslim votes,'' she said.

These was the BSP chief's first election meetings in both the districts where polls are scheduled in the fourth phase on April 23.

Continuing her tirade against the Samajwadi Party government in the state and the UPA at the centre, she said the ''bad'' law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh and the spiralling inflation were the main issues in the assembly polls.

''Criminals, who are running a parallel government in UP, would be in the jail or run from the state after the BSP government comes to power after the polls,'' she claimed.

The BSP chief also reiterated that if her party was voted to power, probes will be ordered against Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and his close confidant Amar Singh.

''The present government has turned the state into a 'goonda raj' and it is the duty of the voters to give their valuable support to the BSP,'' she said.

She said the smaller parties, who had fielded candidates against the BSP to benefit other political outfits, would be wiped out after the assembly polls.

''Parties like the Apna Dal, JD(U), BS-4 have no presence among the voters in the state.'' During her 30-minute speeches at both the crowded election meetings, Ms Mayawati claimed that the BSP had given representation to all castes and communities in the assembly polls.

On campaigning by Bollywood stars in the state, she said they were just ''actors and dancers and can only draw crowds but not do anything except ask voters to vote for a particular party''.

In both the districts, most of the assembly seats are expected to witness direct contests between the ruling Samajwadi party and the BSP. In Lakhimpur Kheri, there are seven assembly seats at stake while in Sitapur there are nine seats.
