Two more Lanco units registered as CDM projects
Hyderabad, Apr 13 (UNI) Two more Hydro Projects of Lanco in Himachal Pradesh had been registered as Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) under the Kyoto Protocol.
The projects - five MW upper Khauli and five MM Drindhar on the river Beas were the additional two Hydro Power Projects of Lanco to be registered as CDM projects.
Lanco is one of the first Indian corporates to get its projects registered as CDM projects with UNFCCC, according to a release.
The two projects would generate approximately 35,000 certified emission reductions per annum and with this, the total capacity of Hydro projects registered with UNFCCC has risen to 20 MW.
