Sugar prices decline on lack of fresh demand
Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) Sugar prices declined on lack of fresh demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said here today.
Sugar in small and medium grades eased by Rs 15 and Rs 10 per quintal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades also fell by Rs 20 and Rs five per quintal respectively on poor demand.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,405/1,470, Medium grade: Rs 1,435/1,505, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,380/1,390, Medium grade: Rs 1,410/1,430.
